women in docs are an upbeat songwriting duo from Queensland, Australia. They are known for their entertaining and funny concerts, poignant songwriting, and soaring harmonies. Their show is a little bit songwriter, a little bit cabaret, with lots of storytelling and laughs. They have toured around the world to the USA, Europe and China. Their music has been played on ABC Radio, Triple J and stations around Australia and the world. This is a rare show in Brisbane – catch them in October.

This concert is part of the 2016 West End Festival. West End Festival is a community led festival which celebrates and promotes the vibrant and diverse West End community across a range of platforms. This year’s week-long Festival will run between 22-29 October featuring highlights including the much loved Kurilpa Derby and Beggars Banquet.In Boundary and Russell Streets and an action-packed program of live music, arts, cultural and community events utilising a variety of spaces such as businesses, shops and venues.

THE WEST END SESSIONS is an alcohol-free listening room right in the heart of the cafe and bar district of West End, Brisbane (book for dinner before or after a show and support our local traders!). The music featured includes folk, acoustic, jazz and world music from around the world.

The concerts happen every few months, or in a short series, inside the West End Uniting Church, cnr Vulture & Sussex Sts, West End. Tickets range from $25-$50 and are available online.
